The Seagrape Villa is located within the gates of the charming Old Bahama Bay Resort is a perfect getaway. World class diving and fishing are only minutes away that make this a true dream spot. All resort amenities available, most at no cost. This includes tennis courts, resort pool, restaurants, beautiful beach with hammocks, beach toys such as Hobie Cats, kayaks, and wind surfers.
The home is a lavish two story, four bedroom villa, situated on a beautifully landscaped corner canal lot, with an 80 foot deep water dock to park your yacht. it is a mere 300 yards from the crystal clear ocean with 270 degrees of ocean views. Watch the sunrise and the sunsets from the spacious patios and porches.
This home is truly set up to experience outdoor living at its best with outdoor access to porches and patios from every room. The home boasts a 'zero edge' heated swimming pool surrounded by a dramatic patio with a large 'Tiki Hut' style wet bar.
The main living quarters; kitchen, great room and master suite, are on the upper floor. There is a large wrap-around balcony that provides an outside eating area off of the kitchen and awesome views from every room. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen is impressive with stainless appliances and beautiful cherry cabinetry.
The great room has a very wide open feel with lots of light coming from large windows and high ceilings. It is tastefully decorated with rich leather sofas and art collectibles. The master suite feels very comfortable with oversized carved wooden furniture. Large windows open to a lovely balcony overlooking the canals and the ocean with picture perfect sunset views.
The lower floor has two stunningly decorated guest rooms with ocean views, private entrances, and patios adjacent to the patio/pool area. The guest rooms each have a bath with shower. Also on the lower level is an informal living area which serves as a game room with a pool table, ping pong table, dart board and game table and floor-to-ceiling windows opening to the pool.
The fourth bedroom is detached from the main house. It's great for some mature kids who like to make noise. It opens onto the dock. It has a twin over double bunk bed with a trundle bed with two singles. It has a full bath
The large island of Grand Bahama offers an almost limitless variety of things to do. Within 30 to 45 minute drive are several of the best golf courses in the Caribbean. The Freeport/ Lucaya area has a casino and numerous restaurants with all types of food. Nearby is the 'Dolphin Experience' which allows you to learn about and swim with dolphins. The shopping is great, and tours can be arranged to visit the vast natural attractions of the island.

Summary: We had great weather and crossing. the layout of the house was awesome for 4 couples. Enjoyed the pool and location. Kitchen was equipped and the property manager Lavell was great. If we called she was there to fix or help us out. Home is in need of some repairs and TLC at this time but overall great home.

Summary: Would I rent this house again = Yes Positives - Location Pool Dock Bedrooms Kitchen is well equipped Negatives - TVs don't work, Checkout process was poor with a guy arriving at 9.30am when checkout is 11am. Overall the house served as a great place for a guys fishing trip.

Summary: property in disrepair, pool is serviced once a week and the filter is left off during rest of time, lots of bugs in and around house / pool. looks good in the photos and was probably great for first five years. Great potential but needs pool and pest work and maintenance prioritized to get it under control.

Summary: 10/10 Would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the Bahamas or West End. Very conveniently located to Old Bahama Bay and it's marina; just a 5 minute boat ride or a 10 minute walk to all the amenities that OBB has to offer. The house was very comfortable and again perfectly located. The house was very clean and cold, which is a must for me, I kept my 32' boat out on the dock with no problem at all. The dock space has water and power conveniently located on a pedestal just make sure to bring a hose and power adapter as is typical in the Bahamas. I saw on a previous review that the water tasted salty, .. that's the entire Island bring some bottled water.. The views from upstairs and downstairs were amazing, beautiful sunsets and boat watching from the top and bottom balconies. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, baking sheets and pretty much anything you'd need to cook up any meal. Grill worked great for hot dogs and hamburgers. Plenty of space for 4 kids and 4 adults; probably could've fit a few more.. The most important part for me was the excellent communication from the host. I had a few questions before the trip and she was sure to answer all of them. Marvel (hope I said that right) was also just a phone call away if we needed a ride anywhere, even offering to pick up our groceries herself from the store. She arranged taxi pick ups and departures for the wife and kids and made sure anything we needed was taken care of. I will be back!

The dock and pool bar area were great for unwinding and unloading after a long day on the water. The pool table was a great night time activity after dinner. Summary: Excellent location. Lots of space but the house needs to be painted, blinds replaced, some pest service, add some stemware, replace the outdoor furniture and just general upgrades. Newer homes were charging similar rates per day. House could be unbelievable if the owner spent some money.
